She has been getting hands-on professional teaching experience in the dance community since the age of 15. After taking many years of classes as a tap, ballet and jazz student, she began her dance career by leading her high school dance team to two state championship victories as a dancer and choreographer and also working as a teaching assistant at her dance studio. After high school, she moved from a small town in northern Vermont where she lived with her parents, to the greater Boston area to study business management in order to understand how to market herself and her dance talent. She continues to share her passion of dance with all ages by teaching at studios, summer camps, coaching high school and college teams, teaching workshops, and leading dance fitness classes. Stephanie strives to help her students reach their full potential as performers, encouraging them to reach new heights by fully expressing their emotions through dance and paying attention to the finest details of the musicality of her choreography. She learned her techniques from taking master classes with renowned choreographers and dancing and competing with the professional hip hop company, Phunk Phenomenon, a group that was featured on the MTV show Randy Jackson’s America’s Best Dance Crew. She has lead Bentley University’s hip hop dance crew, CRAZE, to receive 2nd place trophies at The New England Dance Championships in Boston, has helped them achieve their goal of being accepted into the highly prestigious nation-wide competition "Prelude", and organized their annual hip hop dance showcase, Rhythmic Graffiti. She lead the Newton North High School Varsity Dance Team to multiple state championship victories in the hip hop division as well as many 1st place trophies at The New England Dance Championships in Boston. Her studio competitive teams received all “Platinum Awards”, the highest honor, at traveling national competitions. She has choreographed and danced in music videos, starred as a Britney Spears impersonator, and competed in herself and then also trained a team to compete at Hip Hop International in Las Vegas! This past year was her fifth year teaching in Plattsburgh, NY and her hip hop teams made a splash at competition again bringing home top awards and being the crowd's favorite! Whether it is teaching, performing or taking a class she will jump at any opportunity to learn, grow, and perform with others who she can connect with through dance. Her passion for dance is evident! Come to her class to: fall in love with dance and music, learn proper technique, train as an artist and an athlete, to work hard, be challenged, make friends, and have so much fun!
